Here are the Top Three Biggest Mistakes that traders make when planning their trades:
Mistake #1: Planning Trades During Market Hours. When you see yourself doing this, stop trading! Because you’re most likely chasing prices already; trading on impulse or trading blind. Trade planning must be done during off market hours, not when prices are already moving.
Mistake #2: Plotting Too Many Key Levels. You’re plotting too many support and resistances in the chart because you don’t really know what’s happening in the stock. When the market opens, you’re struggling to act when the price hits a level because you don’t know what level to follow.
Mistake #3: Being Too Biased With Your Picks. You’re not being objective anymore with your picks. This could be due to several internal (e.g trying to recuperate from a series of losses) and external factors (e.g you read a tweet from a guru).
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced trader, you are prone to these mistakes. Committing these mistakes on a regular basis may cause mental, emotional and physical fatigues. You will lose your trading momentum and rhythm which will eventually lead to quitting.
